FOR BOTH PAPER-BASED & ONLINE EXAMS

    • To be eligible to write the LLQP provincial exam, you must complete your entire certification program PRIOR to challenging any of the examination modules.
    • Your course provider must update your certification status in the Canadian Insurance Participant Registry (CIPR) before you attempt to register for an exam.
    • Your certification must be valid at the time of registration and for the exam date that you select; expired certification is not considered valid. Refunds will not be provided for exam dates selected past your certification expiration date.
    • Refer to the Terms/Policies and Exam Schedule information BEFORE filling out this form.
    • Any medical/special exceptions must be arranged with Durham College at least three (3) weeks in advance of each exam date prior to registration. Do not register before your special accommodation request is approved.
    • Once your exam is booked, there are no refunds, cancellations, or rescheduling available.

    ONLINE PROCTORING ONLY:

    1. If you are registering for licensing outside of ONTARIO and NEW BRUNSWICK you must FIRST contact your province/territory administrator to be allowed to register for Online Proctored LLQP Examinations as they will verify you as eligible (note: this is NOT your course provider).
    2. You will schedule the DATE of your exam(s) through this registration portal; a registration confirmation will follow within 2 business days. A final exam confirmation will follow no later than 10 days prior to your exam date; at that time you will also receive a separate email from donotreply-V5@examity.com for your exam modules, that you must respond to for scheduling your session time(s). It is strongly recommended that you schedule your time session(s) upon receipt of the Examity email notification to help ensure preferred time sessions availability. Please note, you will not be permitted to schedule a time session within 24hrs of the exam date. Session times range from 8:00am to 11:00pm Eastern Standard Time..
    3. You can only book your exam time for the exact day that you have selected in the Durham College registration.
    4. We highly recommend taking a maximum of two exams per day if you have not previously used the online proctoring system. When booking time slots we HIGHLY recommend that you choose start times 3 hours apart at a minimum (example: exam 1 at 9:00am, exam 2 at 12:00pm). This will allow time to log into each exam session, perform a system test, be identified by the Proctor and allow additional time for any technical issues and for breaks between your exams.

    TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

PRIOR to registering for an exam session, review the equipment requirements for taking the Live online proctored exam via Examity.

Do not register for an online proctored exam unless your computer meets the minimum requirements and is a supported device. It is your responsibility to review the Examity technical requirements to ensure that your system is compatible with the online proctoring software. If your system does not meet the requirements and causes an issue during the exam, you will have to reschedule the exam at your own cost.

    Examity computer requirements

**NEW** you are required to have a handheld mirror or cell phone during the sign in process for an online proctored exam session.

The standard Calculator and blank Notepad (TextEdit for Mac users) applications will be provided to you within the exam. You must have a compatible browser: Google Chrome. Scrap paper or hand-held calculators are NOT permitted.

TESTING ENVIRONMENT: Testing from a hard surface will be required: no beds, couches or testing from the floor. Your workspace must be cleared of all non-permitted materials and your testing environment must be private, quiet and well-lit. Any glass walls or windows in the testing room must be covered.

NOT SUPPORTED: Google Chromebooks; Tablets and mobile devices (Nexus, iPad, Tab, Note, etc.); Linux operating systems; Windows 10 in S mode or Surface RT. See technical requirements link to check supported operating systems. Also, no running inside a virtual machine; you will be asked to reconnect using your host operating system to take your exam. A secondary monitor is not permitted; you are only allowed to use one monitor attached to one computer during your exam.

We strongly recommend using a personal computer (not an employer’s computer) and a wired, ethernet connection. The most common causes of technical issues with online proctored exams are testing on an unreliable internet connection and/or a work computer.
